Day 1 Airport/Negombo
On arrival at the Colombo International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our representative introduce your guide lecture and proceed to Kandy. Negombo is the Dutch captured the town from the Portuguese in 1640. It is referred as “little Rome”. The town is dotted with shrines and churches as a majority of Negombo population is Roman Catholic. St. Mary’s church, built in 1874 the biggest of them all is worthy of a visit. Negombo fish market, Dutch fort, Dutch canal are the other highlighted places to visit.
In the evening you can visit Muthurajawela marsh. The Muthurajawela Marshes are situated just south of Negombo and covers an area of approximately 6,000 hectares inclusive of the Negombo lagoon. The daily high tide brings in seawater from the ocean into the wetland. Continuous mixing of these two waters over thousands of years, has led to a brackish, integrated coastal ecosystem that is biologically diverse and teeming with life. A variety of mangroves and other types of flora including medicinal plants are found alongside numerous types of birds, butterflies and fish, some of which are endemic. Crocodiles, monitor lizards, and Sri Lanka’s largest snake, the Python, are also native.

Day 2 Negombo/Anuradhapura
We will departure early in the morning and having breakfast on the way.
Sri Lanka’s first capital, Anuradhapura, located within the Cultural Triangle in the North West province, was the greatest monastic city of the ancient world. It was royal capital for more than 100 Sri Lankan kings and at its heights was home to thousands of monks from dozens of monasteries. Originally founded by a minister called Anuradha, in the 4th century BC, it became the capital of Sri Lanka two centuries later. After a long and sometimes bloody history, it was abandoned in 1073 and is now today the most important religious and cultural site in Sri Lanka. The ruins of Mahavihara, the first Monastery, which served as the seat of Theravada Buddhism, as well as the Thuparamaya, built by King DevanamPiyatissa in 250 B.C.E, the Ruwanwelisaya, and several other monasteries and temples can be seen. The ancient Bo Tree, which was originally a branch of the Bo tree in Buddha Gaya under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment and brought to Sri Lanka by Emperor Asoka’s daughter, Princess Sangamiita, also is in Anuradhapura.
There are un countable scenic places in Anuradhapura. We visit the main places as Ruwanweli pagoda, Jayasri ma bodhi, Mirisawetiya, Tisawewa (Lake), Isurumuniya, Smadhi stupa, Lowamahapaya.

Day 3 Anuradhapura/Jaffna
We will departure early in the morning and having breakfast on the way. We can visit Murukkandy Hindu temple en-route.
A roadside Kovil, worship frequently by travelers on their journey to the North. Situated in Kilinochchi on the A9, this temple symbolizes protection and everyone who passes this way will stop here to entreat for a safe journey. Murukkandi Kovil is dedicated to God Pillaiyar or Lord Ganesh.
Then we reach to Jaffna.
Jaffna is the capital city of the Northern Province, Sri Lanka. It is located in the most northern region of the island of Sri Lanka. The Jaffna peninsula is almost an island itself connected to the main island over a causeway at a Place called ‘Ali Mankada’ or Elephant Pass in English. This was so named since this was indeed the route used by elephants to travel between the peninsula and the main island in the ancient past. The peninsula itself is a number of islands connected though causeways.

Day 4 Jaffna
After breakfast we visit Nagadeepa Temple.
Nagadeepa or Nainativu is one of the smallest islands in the Gulf of Mannar. The only way to the island is via a boat and it will take minimum 15 minutes one way. It is both a place of religious significance and beauty. It is one of the places in Sri Lanka that they Buddha was said to have visited by the Great Chronicle of Mahavamsa. The island is sandy and flat and is home to a lot of palm trees. The island is located about 30 km away from Jaffna. There are two main jetties in order to enter the island, one leads to a Hindu temple and the other to the Nagadeepa Vihara.
When we back to Jaffna and visit other historical scenic places surrounding Jaffna peninsula. We are starting from Nallur Hindu temple,
Nallur Kandaswamy temple is considered as the most prominent Hindu religious attraction in the Jaffna peninsula. The annual Nallur Kovil festival attracts thousands of devotee not only Sri Lanka, but also from rest of the world. Nallur Kovil is devoted to Hindu god Load Murugan. The areas of Nallur were the capital of early Jaffna regional kingdom. Still you can see the remaining of royal monuments such as Sankili Thoppu and other monuments very close to this temple.
Jaffna Fort, Kadurugoda Temple, Nilavarai Bottomless well are the main attraction places.

Day 5 Jaffna/Sigiriya
We will departure early from the hotel and having breakfast on our way to Sigiriya. We have to pass around 250km to complete the journey to Sigiriya.
We can visit Sigiriya in the evening.
Sigiriya Rising 200 meters vertically from the flat pains, Sigiriya Rock provides you with one of the most dramatic sites in Sri Lanka. Top of this rock contains ruins of an ancient palace complex, built during the reign of King Kashyapa (477AD – 495AD) and surrounding rock is the Royal Garden. It is one of the 7 world heritage sites in Sri Lanka and is one of its most popular tourist destinations. The Sigiriya site consists of a 200 meter tall granite rock, whose sides are so steep that at some points the top overhangs the base. Ruins of various chambers, stairways and pools can be seen at the top of this rock. There is a stone stairway leading from the base to the top of the mountain. About half way to the top, there is a giant pair of lions paws which is in fact are the remains of a huge head of a lion whose open mouth served as the entrance to the royal palace. Surrounding the palace complex are the ruins of a garden complex consisting of two moats and various pools, some with water fountains still functioning after 1500 years. Sigiriya is world famous for its frescoes. It is believed that there were paintings all over the rock which were later destroyed, only 22 still remaining. The frescoes are the only non-religious old painting in Sri Lanka.)

Day 6 Sigiriya/Kandy
After breakfast at hotel we proceed to Kandy. We can visit Aluvihara cave temple and Nalanda gedige en-route.
Visit Sri Muththumari Amman Hindu Temple and Nalanda gedige e—route. Sri Muththumari Amman temple was made by Indian people 100 years ago. Story of the Nalanda Gedige belongs to King Ravana Era. There is an unidentified statue found in Nalanda gedige by archaeology department of Sri Lanka and according to the appearance it has no similarity with a human being but it shows more similarities to an extra terrestrial being. The survey department of Sri Lanka has proved that this location is exactly the middle of the island.
Then we reached to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka is a major tourist destination. The city established in the 15th century was the last royal capital where 2500 years of royal rule ended. (465 meters mean above sea level). Famous for the Temple of the Tooth and many other temples the city could be called the cultural capital of the island. Kandy Procession, the pageant of the temple of tooth where Buddha’s tooth is kept is held either in July or August each year to parade the golden caskets is a must see itinerary if one is visiting Sri Lanka during these months. The final night procession is the most spectacular event of the country. More than 50 elephants parade the city accompanied by the drummers, dancers and chieftains.
We visit temple of tooth relic, Kandy city tour, Evening enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural show of drumming dancing music and walking on fire.

Day 7 Kandy/Nuwara eliya
After the breakfast at the hotel proceed to Nuwara Eliya or City of Light is the tea capital of Sri Lanka at an altitude of 1889 m and is the most visited hill station of the island.
No wonder, since it means a break from the oppressive heat and humidity that surrounds the rest of Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya also called as “Little England” has a pleasant climate. The average temperature is 15°c (60°f). February and March has much cooler temperature where it could drop up to 8°c (46°f).
Nuwara Eliya was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red-brick walls, country house like hill club and mock-Tudor half-timbering, Colonial villas, Rose gardens, 18 holes golf course and country-club-styled hotels are the perfect background for an unforgettable stay. We can visit very beautiful waterfalls en-route. There are so many attractions around the Nuwara eliya city. Hakgala Botanical garden, Victoria queens park, Gregory Lake, Horton plains, Nuwara eliya golf club are the main scenic places.

Day 8 Nuwara eliya
After the breakfast at the hotel we proceed to visit another scenic place which is Horton Plains National Park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. It is an undulating 2000m high plateau 29km south of Nuwara Eliya. The grassy plains, which are interspersed with small patches of forest, are home to leopards, sambur, deer, bear, monkeys and a rich array of birds, including some endemic species. The most dramatic feature of the National Park is `World’s End’ where the plateau comes to an abrupt end and drops nearly 1000m vertically. The best way to explore the park is on foot.

Day 9 Nuwara eliya/ Kithulgala/Colombo
After breakfast at hotel we proceed to Colombo via Kithulgala. Kithulgala is most popular site of White water rafting is located on the banks of Kelani River. There are seven rapids covering 3 major rapids and 4 minor rapids (Grade 2-3 rapids). Every rapid gives you great fun...Epic excitement..!
The distance covered is around 5 KMs and duration of White Water Rafting experience would be approximately 1 – 2 hrs (subject to Kelani River water speed). The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable Experience during your White Water Rafting Tour in Kithulagala.
The season for White water rafting at Kithulgala is the period of April to November. During this period southwestern monsoon of Sri Lanka gently increase the water level of Kelani River.
Then we reach to Sri Lanka Commercial capital Colombo, after check in to the hotel, we will take you on a sightseeing tour of Colombo starting with the commercial area called "Fort", christened so by the Portuguese and Dutch who had a Fort at this location in the past. Next stop is at "Pettah" - a typical oriental bazaar with a mélange of humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques and temples. Known for its religious harmony, here you can visit a Hindu temple, drive pass Jumi-Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque and continue the tour through the Wolfendhal Dutch Church. From there, we proceed to Hulftsdorp Law courts, the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, the Independence Square and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. Later on, you can indulge in a shopping spree at ceramics corporation showroom, majestic city shopping complex, house of fashion and the "Odel" unlimited dress boutique. After the day-tour, we will transfer you back to the hotel.
